Katie & Theo : Engagement Session
Some mornings when I wake up I just have to pinch myself to see if I’m really awake. I am so fortunate in that I get to do what I truly love for a living and am also blessed with the best clients on earth!
Katie & Theo will be getting married on August 31, 2008 at the B.R. Cohn winery in Sonoma. Katie was telling me about some of the details during their engagement session recently, and it sounds like it’s going to be absolutely beautiful! I am truly looking forward to their big day. They are such a gorgeous couple, inside and out.

Les Savy Fav : Under the Radar
Under the Radar Magazine recently hired me to shoot a band portrait of Les Savy Fav for their special “Protest Issue”, which should be on stands any day now. The ‘peace’ sign which each member signed will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to a charity called War Child. I’m not sure of the auction details, but I’m sure they will be posted on Under the Radar’s website.
I had 20 minutes with the band and it took them about 10 minutes to make the sign and then another 5 goofing around, so I had 5 minutes to get a shot. Photographing touring bands is always a fun little challenge.
June has been quite a whirlwind of a month and it’s not even over. I have two weddings, a couple family shoots, an engagement shoot, a session with a wonderful librarian, and a trip to Guatemala to share. So stay tuned, lots of beautiful images will be coming soon!

The Alamar Family
I don’t think there are words that can describe how adorable these siblings are! Just take a look for yourself.

Justin & Allison : Engagement Session
I had a fun engagement session with Justin and Allison that comes in two parts. We first took some photos around the Embarcadero in San Francisco and then some more photo fun was to be had in some random vineyard in Sonoma. I’m really looking forward to their wedding on October 4th in Sonoma, they are so much fun to be around and to top it off they are a gorgeous couple.
I’ve been wanting to take this particular shot at the Ferry Building for some time now, it was so nice to finally get the chance. I had a funny encounter with a fella watching me take this shot; he came over and tapped me on the shoulder to tell me there was an exit sign in my shot. Hmmm… do you see an exit sign? Hahahaha. Poor fella mentioned that he had an exit sign standing out in most of his wedding photos, so now it seems he doesn’t trust any photographer to know what they’re doing.

Off to Sonoma!

Then we took a quick trip to Africa! [wink]
A little behind the scenes mystery revealed!
Thank you Justin and Allison for such a wonderful time!
